Ana Karina Ortiz

CASE MANAGER

Ana Karina Ortiz joined Zimmer Law Group in May 2025. She earned her Law degree from Universidad Santiago de Cali in Colombia in 2018 and is currently pursuing studies in Fine Arts. Ana is fluent in English and Spanish.

Her passion for immigration law began right after graduation when she worked for a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping immigrants. During that time, she traveled to Washington, D.C., for specialized training on U visas and VAWA applications, which strengthened her commitment to supporting vulnerable populations. That experience allowed her to witness firsthand the impact of reuniting families and helping individuals obtain legal status to build a better future. Ana has also worked as a creative writer, specializing in declarations and affidavits, which gave her the opportunity to connect deeply with clients and their stories.

Ana finds fulfillment in knowing that her work creates a positive impact and helps change lives. She values the lessons she learns from every client and enjoys preparing applications that carry stories of hope—such as K-1 fiancé visas, which remind her that true love exists.

Outside of work, Ana loves painting, which she describes as a meditative way to express herself.
