Kali Kilmer
ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Kali Killmer is an associate attorney who has been with ZLG since May 2024. She speaks English and Spanish.
Kali earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities in 2021, with minors in Spanish and Sociology of Law. During college, she studied abroad in Ecuador, where she interned with a nonprofit organization that provided free legal services to women who had experienced domestic violence. While there, she gained firsthand insight into the ways legal advocacy can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. The experience also deepened her interest in working with people from different backgrounds and cultures. After graduating from college, Kali worked as a legal assistant in immigration law. She was drawn to immigration law because it combines the intellectual challenge of solving complex legal problems with the opportunity to work closely with people from around the world. Her experiences in Ecuador and in immigration law inspired her to attend law school and pursue a career as an immigration attorney.
Kali graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School with her Juris Doctor in 2026. She has a particular interest in crimmigration cases, where immigration and criminal law intersect. She is committed to helping clients understand their rights and options, particularly when criminal proceedings may have significant consequences for their immigration status, and to advocating for outcomes that allow families to remain together.
In her free time, Kali enjoys playing pickleball, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
