Margaret Thesing joined Zimmer Law Group in January 2026, bringing with her a deep commitment to human rights and community advocacy. She holds a degree in Applied Social Sciences with an emphasis in history and politics, along with a minor in Applied Peace Studies. Maggie is fluent in English and is actively working toward fluency in Spanish.

Maggie’s path to immigration law is rooted in a lifelong passion for social justice. During college, she organized and participated in demonstrations, philanthropic initiatives, and fundraising efforts focused on human rights causes, including Standing Rock, voter registration initiatives, and Black Lives Matter advocacy. After gaining professional experience in the hospitality and corporate sectors, she found immigration law to be a natural and meaningful next step—one that aligned her professional skills with her personal values. Maggie is driven by the opportunity to support individuals and families and finds fulfillment in being part of work that positively impacts the broader community.

Outside of work, Maggie enjoys bar trivia and bingo, and she’s an avid fan of movies, television, and books. She values time spent with her fiancé, as well as with family and friends.
