Cayli Posch

ATTORNEY

Cayli Posch-Johnson is an attorney who started at ZLG in October of 2020 as a law clerk. Cayli speaks English and Spanish.

She earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Minnesota Duluth, one in English Literature Language, and Culture and one in Hispanic Area Studies. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School with her Juris Doctorate in May 2021.

In law school, Cayli volunteered at the Karnes Residential Detention Facility helping prepare detained fathers and sons for hearings before an immigration judge. She has worked for the Advocates for Human Rights on asylum cases and has spent her time at Zimmer working on a wide variety of family-based immigration, U visas, naturalizations, and immigration court cases. She has also worked on immigration cases at the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. All of these experiences have only grown her desire to pursue immigration law as a long-term career choice. Her favorite cases to work on are asylum cases, appeals, U visas, and bond cases. Outside of work she enjoys relaxing and reading books, cooking, taking her dog on long hikes and walks, and doing pub trivia with friends.
